Scott Moore: Transgender Support Group for Pregnant Man

Scott Moore, who is making big news as the second recent case of a pregnant man, is seen by some as a great example of the healthy monogamous relationships that can come from a non "traditional family."

Scott and his partner Thomas are both transgender males, who were born as woen but felt all their lives they were meant to live as men. They met each other in a transgender support group, whether other men like them get help for dealing with all the difficulty that comes with that identity, in this society. By all indications they have built a very strong and stable relationship together, and will probably make excellent parents after all the work it took to make it this far. Some will probably see them as weirdos but I say more power to them, the more loving families we can have, the better.

Scott Moore and his partner, Thomas, were both born as females and underwent surgery and hormone treatments to transform their sex. Scott, who is 30, is legally married to Thomas, with whom he lives in California, because he still has his female birth certificate. Scott and Thomas met in 2005 at a support group meeting for their fellow transgender men. Thomas began his transition aged 19, although he knew from the age of four that he wanted to be a man. Thomas, who used to be called be the name Laura, legally changed his name in 1998.
