George Lucas: Star Wars Live-Action On Hold, "Fund Needed!"

Bad news for all the Star Wars fans out there? According to the director George Lucas, the anticipated Stars TV show may be on hold, possibly forever!

Lucas has been planning for years to do a live action version of Star Wars on TV, that told the story of what went on between the first trilogy and the second one, basically everything that happened between when Luke Skywalker was born and when we met him in the original Star Wars.

But now Lucas says they may not be able to pull off the show with the money available for such a TV show: "The live action TV show is kind of on hold because we have scripts, but we don't know how to do them. They literally are Star Wars, only we're going to have to try to do them at a tenth the cost. And it's a huge challenge, a lot bigger than what we thought it was gonna be."

Star Wars creator George Lucas has once again cast doubt on the series ever making it's way to the small screen and it now looks like the projects future is uncertain...
Back in 2005, George Lucas announced that there was plans for a live action television show that would be set between the events of Revenge Of The Sith and A New Hope which would fill in the gaps of what happened between those two movies.
