Pregnant Man, Baby #3!

A third baby for the legendary pregnant man? That's the latest news from Thomas Beatie, who made news last year as the "pregnant man" and is now set to have baby #3, according to a new report.

Beatie was born female, but went through ten years of sex reassignment therapy to complete a sex change. He had a successful childbirth in 2008 and another in 2009. And is now building a happy family even if its not a traditional one. More power to him, I say!

Hopefully more transgender Americans can follow the same path, and have proper health insurance and medical care to cover it just as everyone else does.

"Pregnant man" Thomas Beatie is expecting baby No. 3. Thomas Beatie, the so-called "pregnant man," is expecting baby No. 3, the Web site MomLogic.com reports. The transgender Oregonian grabbed headlines around the world two years ago when he came forward announcing he was pregnant -- and male. Beatie underwent 10 years of sex reassignment therapy -- while retaining female reproductive organs -- before becoming pregnant with his first child. He gave birth via natural childbirth to a baby girl in June 2008. His second baby, a boy, was born a year later.
