Ace of Cakes end: next year

One of the favorite reality shows on cable may be ending soon, with the announcement that Food Network's Ace of Cakes is slated to end its run next year.

The network said the season that begins this January 2011 will be the last season ever for the popular show that shows some of the most creative and artistic cakes you'll ever see. Ace of Cakes features the Chef and owner of Charm City Cakes, a popular specialty shop in Baltimore, Maryland, that laso showcases the talents of Duff Goldman, and his crew of decorators as they attempt to create amazing and awe-inspiring cakes for their clients each week

Food Network reality series Ace of Cakes will air its final season next year, the cable channel announced Friday. "All good things must come to an end, and the final season of Ace of Cakes will begin on-air in January," Food Network General Manger Bob Tuschman said in a statement. The upcoming season will be the show's tenth and will reportedly feature the construction of a large-scale Delorean time machine cake created especially for a Back to the Future 25th anniversary event.
