More than 50 students were arrested, in widespread protests that saw numerous campus areas taken over. The college students are protesting a huge increase in tuition across the board at all University of California schools. Numerous professors and campus workers also joined in the protests. Certainly it is understood that there is a financial crunch right now, especially in California, but such a severe blow to educational opportunities ought to be done only as the last possible resort, I would have to agree with the protestors. Americans are in a panic with the news that a waffle shortage is imminent. Kellogg's has officially announced that their Eggo Waffles will be scarce until next summer, due to problems with their waffle bakeries and factories. The breakfast treat made famous by its "Leggo my Eggo" ads have long been a family breakfast favorite, but many homes may have to do without them for many months now. Honestly though, we could also take this as an opportunity to seek out affordable and healthy breakfast tips, and consider that Eggo Waffles are a pretty unhealthy breakfast and our families might be better off without them. Plus there are many other brands that are better and a bit healthier, including the Kashi brand of waffles and other breakfasts which I'm a big fan of personally.. and I wasn't paid to say that (but I'm open to offers!).
