Juelz Santana "Built to Lose, Built to Win, The Reagan era"
Is Juelz Santana even old enough to remember The Reagan era? Regardless, "Built to Lose, Built to Win - The Reagan era" is the title of Juelz Santana's latest album due out in spring 2008.

TI Paper Trail Album
The new album from TI entitled paper trail is due to be released sometime this summer, last we heard. No word yet on how his sentencing will affect the date for Paper Trail, but one would assume TI has done a lot of recording as his legal troubles and house arrest played out.
Here's the latest info posted on wikipizzeria:
Paper Trail is the sixth studio album by T.I.. TI working on the new Paper Trail studio album while under house arrest on pending gun charges. TI has completed 30 tracks for the album already. TI says that he only likes about 16 of them though and plans to produce about 16 more for Paper Trail. The album is entitled Paper Trail, which comes from lyrics he has written down on paper. He abandoned this style of rapping after his first album I'm Serious. "He wanted to take more time to really put something down (this time)," explains his rep.[3] The album is expected sometime in 2008.

One of the rarer J Dilla releases is getting a reissue soon, courtest of Stones Throw:
J Dilla's Ruff DraftStones Throw will continue its tribute to J Dilla with the March 6 reissue of the late producer's Ruff Draft LP.
Originally a vinyl-only release on Dilla's own Mummy Records, Ruff Draft got its name from being produced with the intention to sound like an old cassette. Four previously unreleased tracks from the Ruff Draft sessions, including alternate versions of "Intro" and "Shouts", are included in the reissue, which comes in both double CD and double LP formats. The second disc of each is devoted to instrumentals.

Lady Sovereign "Public Warning" Album
Lady Sovereign's American debut on Def Jam was a big story about 14 months ago.. now that her album is actually dropping is there any buzz left? We shall see on October 31st.. Here's the scoop from the fader:
On her album Public Warning the choruses are even bigger and brighter. Lady Sovereign has continued working with grime-based producers including Medasyn, but has also collaborated with established dance producers like Basement Jaxx and incorporated sonic references to ska, electro and new wave. This appeal to both the mainstream and underground is also reflected in her upcoming remixes, as ultra rugged producer Jammer is doing a rework and Ordinary Boys, a popular laddish rock band, have been commissioned to cover Sovereign's lead single "9 To 5".

Ying Yang Twins "2 Live Crew" Album
On their third album "2 Live Crew" the Ying Yang Twins are taking the unusual measure of straight-up naming their album after the artist who most influenced their style. In related news, Ashanti, Rihanna, Teairra Mari, Brooke Valentine and Cristina Milian are all coming out with albums named "Beyonce."
Billboard has the scoop:
Ying-Yang Twins Take Raunchy Route On Next Disc, "2 Live Crew"Atlanta rap duo Ying Yang Twins is currently planning its third studio effort "2 Live Crew," due later this year. According to member D-Roc, the album title is an ode to the raunchy 1990s rap group of the same name.
"We're gonna take 'em back [to] 'As Nasty As They Wanna Be,'" D-Roc tells Billboard.com, referring to 2 Live Crew's controversial 1989 album. "We ain't actually working on the album [yet] but outside of just working with [producer] Mr. Collipark, we're getting together and doing songs on our own."
"2 Live Crew" will be the follow-up to Ying Yang Twins' 2005 set "U.S.A.: United State of Atlanta" (Collipark/TVT), which bowed at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 932,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The disc spawned the hit single "Wait (The Whisper Song)," which peaked at No. 3 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
Kaine recently launched his new label Grown Folk Entertainment, while D-Roc is currently rolling with Da Muzicianz, a group he formed two years ago with his younger brother Mr. Ball and Da Birthday Boy. Out today (May 23), the group's debut, "In Stores Now," features guest appearances from Fabo of D4L, Kaine and Mr. Collipark, who handled the majority of production. The lead single is "Camera Phone."
"It's basically a party album," says D-Roc. "In Atlanta, there's a different variety of clubs to go to seven days a week and that's what we show you on this album."

Method Man "420" Album
Gee, I wonder what inspired the album title? I'm inclined to be skeptical about this supposed June 27th release date I saw elsewhere.
Method Man Eyeing Comeback with 420 Album sixshotMethod Man is hoping to release his fourth solo album this year.
The 35 year old rapper recently revealed to The Morning Call that his album will be titled 420, which refers to the weed-smoking day (April 20), when marijuana users gather each year to celebrate and smoke the illegal substance.
Though he didn’t name any producers or artists who will be featured in the album, Method Man divulged that Lauryn Hill allowed him to sample the song “So Much Things to Say," a track from her 2002 album, MTV Unplugged No. 2.
Method Man’s song which contains the sample is also titled “Say” and has already leaked on the internet.
"I'm not bragging, but it shows the respect that she has for me” said Method Man. “It’s gonna solidify me as one of the premier artists of our time."
