December 17, 2005Ghostface "Fish Scale" Album, new release date Feb 28, 2006Ghostface was supposed to drop his new album "Fish Scale" on December 6th, which obviously didn't happen.. it's now allegedly coming on Feb 28, 2006, but in the words of Richard Pryor's church choir, "we will see." Info remains scant but here is the outdated blurb on defjam.com: "The Wally Champ is back with another surefire classic album set for a release in December 2005. The brand new album Fish Scale features Ghost throwing dartz like nothing you've ever heard before." Posted by jsmooth995 at December 17, 2005 7:36 PM Commentsi think Feb 28 is kinda Posted by: Belve at December 18, 2005 4:33 PM I too Posted by: music at December 19, 2005 5:41 AM I don't know but the last album was sick-completely SLEPT ON Onions,Onions.... Posted by: souleil at January 6, 2006 6:27 PM IM GONNA HAVE TO GO WITH souleil ON THIS ONE... GFK IS THE MOST CONSISTANT INNOVATOR IN LYRICAL HIP HOP. LOOKING FORWARD TO FISH SCALE AND HOPEFULLY THE GHOSTFACE/MF DOOM WILL DROP SOON TOO. Posted by: nugglodontist at January 18, 2006 11:39 PM Ghostface Killah is the best thing that ever happend to hiphop. Ironman holds onto some classic Wu with winter warz and supreme clentele was huge with mind bongling lyrics coming from One, saturday Nite, and Might Healthy Posted by: Hash killah at January 19, 2006 7:38 PM It should be interesting to see a ghost cd where he is sober, but what ive been hearing is that put it on the line cd with trife is really good and that was later last year..he's still the best rapper ever and never loses his title. Hands down! Fish Scales should be more commercial because hes trying to make people know he's one of the greats and being more commercial is the way to get more credit.. ex. jay-z ..yeah! i said it ghost isn't going to need the crown because its already been on his head for about ten years. what rapper do you know can make a damn doll and still be the best! Posted by: cniggin at January 20, 2006 11:45 AM ghost fell off..lets make some pussy love songs ooooohh yeah go sister Posted by: ninja at January 25, 2006 4:20 AM ninja, he did make love songs, but they're bangers of some love songs. Holla is ridiculous. Pretty Toney has some of the best production of any rap album in the past 5 years. It also has collaborations that kill most collaborations (Metal Lungies, Run). True, some of it is dancey-poppy sounding shit, but the radio aint playin it (except for the Missy song) and the shit BANGS. Posted by: BFP at January 26, 2006 1:37 PM FISHSCALE IS GONNA BURN IT UP WHENEVER IT COMES OUT. IF YOURE ANXIOUS, COP PUT IT ON THE LINE WITH TRIFE. GHOSTFACE REIGNS SUPREME Posted by: st8 from shaolin at February 4, 2006 8:25 PM nobody can touch Ghost. He's been the shit since He came "rough tuff like an elephant's tusk" you might not know about that but even whats considered his weakest shit is tight. Cant wait for FISH SCALE! Posted by: GHOSTFACE4LIFE at February 11, 2006 12:27 PM Ghostface = 2nd GOAT, next to Nas Put It On The Line = 8 straight classics to open the album i cant even remember the last time that happened Posted by: Yoda3542 at February 12, 2006 5:54 AM Dennis "Ghostface" Coles is truly one the most innovative, charismatic, and consistent Mc's in the history of rap music, and this coming from a person who once thought that he was one of the wackess memebers of The Wu-Tang Clan, not knowing that he along with The Rza master minded the Raw soulfull Wu-Tang sound that would later Captivate millions and inspire up & coming producers and artists likes of Kanye West, Alicia Keys and many others. So to be honest with you back then i did not see the power that his music possed it until I copped his Classic Debut album "IRONMAN" The brother was simply amazing that and then some with songs like Motherless Child the brother easily won me over not just with his ability to a paint mental master piece in my mind, but his sincerity on the mic with classic cuts like "All that I got is you" a song in my a opinion that's easily one of the greatest songs not rap songs but songs of all-times. The god is truely grand royal in my eyes a amazing story teller with a wicked imagation that only rival's that of Slick Rick, Kool G Rap and the late great B.I.G. Ghostface is single handedly keeping the art of storytelling alive and let's not forget his deep soulful, and magical way in which he craft's his lyrics just listen to "Apollo Kids" pure genius. Sure he has his moments where you think damn Ghost if only you hadn't drop tracks like "Chechez LaGhost" instead of "Buck 50" many "SUPREME CLIENTELE" maybe would had gone platium but then again you the same about "BULLETPROOF WALLET", and same go for "THE PRETTY TONEY ALBUM" The you start to think well as a fan that understands that in this rap world where fast food hit singles are constantly been surved to mentally sturving hip hop fans by pretentious rappers with no subject matter, that the reason why true blue artists like Ghostface are truly want and needed by fans who enjoy a real nutritions surving of good soul food rap music is that when artist's such as he don't hit it big they still manage to have an credible effect even if they don't sell millions of records, take for a sample Kool G Rap one of greatest MC' s of all-time who never went platinum, but his influence is felt to this day by many young MC's of all ages, and that's where it truly lies in the fact that he was able to inspire million across the glob the same way Ghostface is inspiring others with his brand of music. So with that being said I can't wait for "FISHSCLE" to the store so I could add it to collection.
