Outkast "Idlewild" Soundtrack Album

Outkast's "Idlewild" album, a soundtrack album for their "Idlewild" movie, is supposed to hit sometime in early 2006, maybe February. I'm looking at this as a warmup for their "real" album "10 The Hard Way", but hopefully it'll have some nice treats on it.

Outkast 'Idlewild' Bumped To Next Year
Originally planned for release earlier this year and then bumped to December, the soundtrack to the OutKast film "Idlewild" has now been removed from LaFace/Jive's 2005 schedule. Group member Big Boi said over the weekend at the Vibe Awards that it would appear sometime during the first quarter of 2006, but a label spokesperson says there is no confirmed date.

"We're trying to pick the single right now. It's all about a gut instinct," Big Boi said at the Vibe Awards.

The change in the soundtrack's release date has apparently had a corresponding affect on the roll-out of the movie, which HBO Films was eyeing for early January. A company spokesperson says a new date has yet to be nailed down.

"Idlewild" is set in the 1930s, and Big Boi says that period in history has rubbed off on some of the music. "In our own little way," he told Billboard.com earlier this summer. "Just with the Ragtime feel. It's hip-hop. It's OutKast. It is what we've been doing for years. Some songs have a little more piano or whatever, but the whole project was a natural progression from a double CD. It was like, where do we go from here?"

Y'all fuckin with me royally I'm all in the record store lookin for the new KAST like pookie looking for his next hit and y'all hit me with this shit. I work in a place with no fuckin record store and gat to catch a 1 1/2 hour flight to get in town stop fuckin around and put out the ablum.PLEASE THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Outkast are the true legends of rap. Let them take all the time they want. They are just getting the formula right. They always come out with that hit you with the other level stuff. Any true Outkast fan wouldn't speak on rushing the product. Do what you do Kast. They are actually one of the few rap artist that I think actually rate to be millionares. I love Kast they are the sh*t. They don't even need another albulm to be in the hall of fame. They make music for people like me. I will love Kast till I die. I will listen to there music here and in the next life. I know it will be there. They are beyound this life and the next. Do what yall do Kast. Until then. Thanks for saving some of us as a people. Outcast, I am from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and my boyfriend and I just came from the movies from watching your wonderful movie, "Idlewild". I really got a lot out of the movie, and I really felt good just sitting there because I never can get my boyfriend to go to the movies, but when he saw that it was a Outcast movie dealing with music, he didn't mind. My boyfriend and I are both into music. He plays drums and bass, and I sing. I was surposed to audition for American Idol this year, but I decided to go back to school. Your movie taught me one thing, never give up on your dream. Although I'm back in school, I am still going to follow my dream, and that is to sing, and when I become successful in my dream, hopefully I will get to work with you guys, Outcast. These boyz have done it again. The are one of the fewest artist out their that have their own sound. And soon yall have them figure out they push something new to yall. But like I said this is a instant classic movie and the soundtrack/ their new album is put together very well. so big ups to Outkast The leaders of the south movement.
