Im not really a fan of Jay-Z , but I guess there merge was for Hip-Hop!!( As Long as Nas getting paid that's all that matters) I'm 34 so I've ben a fan of Hip-Hop for a while..I thank God for rappers like Krs-1, and MC Shan passing the torch down to NAS!! Im still thinking Nas has got something up his sleeve. Hes using all these mainstream producers and some mainstream rappers and signing with Jay-Z with an album called "HIP-HOP IS DEAD". Somehow to me it doesn't fit???

Even though Nas in the past has done some weak stuff on albums... and trying to broaden his fanbase.
Im thinking hes showing people on why Hip Hop is dead(Directed at mainstream followers)... collabrating with all these mainstream rappers and producers, and tracks like "Where Y'all At"(To show how wack Hip Hop currently is). To then inturn make another album resurrecting Hip Hop using producers like Premo(That "TheSource" has leaked to us before") and Pete Rock and others and blindsideing everyone and fucking mainstream.

I mean this is just a thought.. U.B.R and RJD2 also could hinting of this aswell... as he could give us an hinting opinion on what he thinks Hip Hop should be in this album.

If he does this it will diffently be a shock, to Hip-Hop as a whole. I had second doubts on posting this, as Nas could read it and get ideas, which might be a good thing to some. But what would he be doing listening to a insignificant punk like me, but then again he might be already doing this....

I am a black male 20yrs old. I agree with everyone when they say rap is dead. But I also agree when everyone say rap is not dead, reason being is I think that most of todays rap is purchased by kids wanting to be a thug and misguided young people not knowing what real rap is. Artists do what sells,if it sold for one person then the next artist does da same thing destroying originality, that being the garbage you hear today. But rap is also still alive because you have positive a great rappers out here with substance and great potential, but they never get heard from the underground level because of all the garbage that really sells.
