Scary news, hope there is more information soon:

The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a missing fishing boat with four people aboard that ESPN.com said included National Football League players Corey Smith and Marquis Cooper.

Cooper, Smith, and two of their friends were on a 21-foot fishing craft that was reported overdue from Seminole Boat Ramp in Clearwater Pass, Florida, at 1:30 a.m. New York time today, the Coast Guard said in a news release.

Smith is a defensive end for the Detroit Lions and Cooper is a linebacker for the Oakland Raiders.

Troy Asmus, an agent for Cooper, and Ron Del Duca, the agent for Smith, told ESPN.com that the two players were among the missing and that the NFL was aware of the situation.

“We are staying in contact with the Coast Guard and with the Lions and Raiders,” NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said in an e- mail.

Coast Guard helicopters, airplanes and boats are searching a 750-square-mile area of the Gulf of Mexico about 50 miles west of Clearwater Pass, according to the news release.

Mike Brown is a hell of a puncher...Garcia tapped out but thtis really might as well go in the books as a knockout.. on the first punch"

VIDEO: WEC 39 Mike Brown vs. Leonard Garcia

We saw a few months back when Mike Brown stunned the WEC crowd with a first-round, one-punch knockout of Urijah Faber, then the-much-ballyhooed featherweight champion.

And we just saw a few minutes ago when Mike Brown dropped Leonard Garcia with one vicious right hand in the first round of his first WEC title defense. Brown (21-4) leveled Garcia 18 seconds into the bout. It was just the second punch he threw.

Mike Brown continued pounding away at Leonard Garcia (16-4) for several minutes with punches, fists and elbows. Brown eventually locked in a triangle, forcing Garcia to tap at the 3:05 mark.

VIDEO: Spread the Word to End the Word

"Spread the Word to End the Word" is a campaign to educate people about the word "retarded," and why it's considered offensive and should not be used. As a general principle I'm not down with trying to ban a word, which is how this campaign is framed in some of its videos. But I've got no beef at all with reminding people that it's wack and insulting to use the word "retarded," and it's a bad habit everyone should try to drop.

The Special Olympics is helping to lead this movement, on behalf of the millions of people with intellectual disabilities. Here are some of the videos promoting the "Spread the Word to End the Word" campaign. "Spread the Word to End the Word" day is 3/31/09.

VIDEO: Bachelor Jason Mesnick on Jimmy Kimmel

Video of Jason Mesnick from The Bachelor struggling to explain his massive failure at life, in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel after the Bachelor season finale. Any woman who values her own sanity should run from this man, run like the wind!

VIDEO: Bachelor Jason Mesnick on Jimmy Kimmel

Jimmy Kimmel is not known as someone who gets to take down celebrity guests. Kimmel is better known for viral videos and dating Sarah Silverman - and sometimes Ben Affleck - off and on. But Jimmy Kimmel got to cut The Bachelor, Jason Mesnick, down to size after the shocking end to the latest Bachelor season. Jason Mesnick pulled a questionable bait and switch, and Kimmel let him know it in his first post-Bachelor interview...

...Kimmel made fun of Mesnick's decision making process, asking if he still had the number of the other Bachelor contestants, just in case. When Mesnick hoped that he and Melissa would be friends, Kimmel laughed that they wouldn't. He also suggested that since Mesnick has a history of proposing on television, he should do it there if he ever pops the question to Molly Malaney.

VIDEO: Justin Timberlake on Jimmy Fallon

Video from the premiere of Jimmy Fallon's new late night show. Another stellar comic turn from Justin Timberlake, Jimmy Fallon seemed a little nervous but I'm sure he'll get in the groove.

VIDEO: Justin Timberlake on Jimmy Fallon

source

Jimmy Fallon is that affable goof you can’t help but root for. Maybe it’s because we’re nostalgic for his days on “Saturday Night Live” or because we feel bad about his fleeting movie career. (Remember “Fever Pitch”? Yeah, me neither.) Whatever the reason, I couldn’t help but want Fallon to be brilliant on his “Late Night” debut last night. Unfortunately, that’s not what happened. OK, it wasn’t that bad, but come on, Jimmy — impersonating De Niro to his face? Really? But there were some bright spots amid Fallon’s nervous twitching and uncomfortable blinking...

...mainly Justin Timberlake. Is there anything JT can’t do? Justin came in cool and confident as usual, bantered with Fallon like they were high-school buddies and stole the show. A throwback to their memorable “Barry Gibb Talk Show” “SNL” skit and Justin’s dead-on John Mayer impersonation almost made up for the De Niro interview. Almost.

VIDEO: Bachelor 2009 Finale

Video from the 2009 season finale of the Bachelor, in which we learn that Jason Mesnick is the lamest man on earth and all women should flee from him.

VIDEO: Bachelor 2009 Finale
source

Apparently, The Bachelor’s decision was controversial. See, Jason Mesnick dumped the girl named Molly for the girl named Melissa. But wait, during the finale reunion, he changed his mind, dumped Melissa, and then went back to Molly. Oh My Gosh! I know that there are still a few Men out there who act like dogs but I don’t know anyone who would do it on national TV for millions to see. And to think this Bachelor is a Father. Being a Single Dad was the major factor of the show. The Women were all just itching to be the stepmother of the little boy...

...I could go on and and on about what a jerk this Jason Mesnick is but the show had women who wanted to be his “wife”. They said Love is blind, but come on now. There are also the things called brains, decency, self-esteem, self-respect and oooh I don’t know, match.com or eharmony.com.

Having said all that, I have a conspiracy theory going on in my head. What if it wasn’t The Bachelor’s decision to go this way? What if ABC instructed him to dump Molly, pick Mellisa, then dump her and then pick Molly? It’s a twist for the TV ratings my friends. The show needed a MAJOR ta-daaaah moment to keep the viewers glued on TV...

Jillian, Next Bachelorette!

Last night was my first time ever watching this show, and the Jason Mesnick guy was so appalling I will likely never watch again. There might have been a slight chance had they brought that other one Melissa back for next year's show, but even then I doubt it. For those who will keep watching though, here's the scoop:

Jillian, Next Bachelorette!

Meet Jillian Harris, the next woman to seek true love on the ABC TV reality show ‘The Bachelorette.’ See videos and a biography of the attractive and personable brunette from Canada.

the bachelorette rose 2

She was one of the final three contestant along with Melissa Rycroft and Molly Malaney and though she may have failed to capture the love of Bachelor Jason Mesnick and became a viewer favorite. Now it is Jillian Harris who has a chance to meet and pick among eligible bachelors when season 14 premieres on May 18, 2009. Her selection was announced on The Bachelor After The Final Rose Part 2 finale.

As a biography, Jillian Harris was born in 1979 so she is 29 years old. She is from Peace River, Alberta, Canada and now lives in Vancouver, B.C. She had brown hair and brown eyes.

She is an interior designer who specializes in designing restaurants and is presently at work on a design for a restaurant chain in Vancouver.

In describing herself, during ‘The Bachelor’ Season 13, she told viewers she works hard and plays hard and is a “polished hick.” During the program she was still busy at work daily on restaurant sites where workers shared their reactions to the show.

“The electricians and the carpenters are like, “I cried last night.” I am getting a great response from people: People thanking me for being so open and honest. So far I haven’t received any negative comments. People are being supportive.

She became close friends with Melissa Rycroft during the show and hoped she would be the Bachelor’s choice.. Also, she became known for a steamy hot tub scene with Mesnick that embarrassed program producers of the show and shocked her father.

Nice Mary J Blige rendition from Lil Rounds:

VIDEO: Lil Rounds "Be Without You" American Idol source

"Lil Rounds has always confounded me. The judges love her, but she's never really impressed me. She's singing "Be Without You," and while I'm still not completely sold, this is the first time I've seen her perform and I want to see more. My main problem with her is that she was so shouty a lot of the time, but for the most part, she's pretty restrained tonight and it works for her. Simon calls her performance "brilliant," Randy says she has unbelievable vocals and knows who she is. Kara says she's a powerhouse, and Paula says she's "first-class.""

Good performance from Jorge Nunez:

VIDEO: Jorge Nunez Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me" American Idol
source

Jorge Nunez sang "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me." While his facial expressions were completely terrifying, he does a great job on this song. It's schmaltzy, sure, but the song he sings in this video is kind of schmaltzy so I can excuse it. Paula is so very proud of him as is standard for Paula, Simon calls Jorge Nunez a "very very good singer," Randy says it was "really, really good, dude." Kara tells him that he was born to sing a song like "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me.

Kendall Beard with the country rocker for the night. Not bad I guess!

VIDEO: Kendall Beard "This One's For the Girls" American Idol

Kendall Beard sang "This One's For the Girls." She's really funny because she has a really tinny annoying speaking voice, but her singing voice is vastly richer and different. It's not a perfect performance, but she's different from everyone else who performed tonight, and I think that could get her far. Kara says that Kendall Beard had some issues, but she likes her personality. Paula says she did a good job and is adorable. Simon says that it got a bit "shrilly" toward the end of the video. Randy says it wasn't her best vocal performance, but that she told them who she is. Kendall Beard looks likely to ride this country train home.

Scott Macintyre is singing "Mandolin Rain," which is kind of a perfect, dorky song choice for him. He has problems with a few notes here and there, but overall he's pretty good. Randy tells him that it wasn't a perfect vocal, but the parts that were great were really great. Kara tells him that he moves mountains when he steps on that stage. Paula says that he's blessed them with his gift, while Simon says he's growing on him.

VIDEO: Nathaniel Marshall "I Would Do Anything for Love" American Idol

Tonight's over the top comedy for the evening, courtesy of the classic over the top comedian Meatloaf and his classic "I would to anything for love but i won't do that" as redone by Nathaniel Marshall. How mad can you be when it's such a silly song to begin with?

VIDEO: Nathaniel Marshall "I Would Do Anything for Love" American Idol source

Nathaniel Marshall is completely insane singing "I Would Do Anything for Love" and turns it into a Donna Summer song. I am not a fan. Simon says that it was "verging on excruciating," but that he's fun. Randy says it's hard for him to imagine what kind of record they would make. Kara says they want to see a more serious side of him. Paula says she loves Nathaniel Marshall, but this was the Boy George version of this song in this video.

Von Smith screamed at us in Hollywood, and has made it through to sing "You're All I Need to Get By." He looks vaguely like my cousin and would be a really great wedding singer. Other than that, I have pretty much no opinion on him. Randy, however, thinks it was a very hot performance. Kara is impressed that he did it "when it has meaning," whatever that means. Paula loved his performance, and Simon says he reminds him of Clay Aiken.

VIDEO: Alex Wagner-Trugman "I Guess Thats Why They Call It The Blues"

Everyone's favorite choice for cutest contestant, it seems?

VIDEO: Alex Wagner-Trugman "I Guess Thats Why They Call It The Blues" American Idol

Alex Wagner-Trugman has been reading what people are saying about him on the Internet, so he's been working out. He's kind of adorable and sadly hilarious, so I hope he does well. He's singing "I Guess That's Why They Call Them the Blues," and it's not the greatest performance ever-- he has a couple of rough patches, but ohmygod he is like a sack of puppies, that one. He's so cute and fun that he's just a pleasure to watch. Paula tells him that he gave them their money's worth. Simon says that they had fun "watching you, but not listening to you." Randy says he can sing, but he just kind of screamed that song. Kara tells him that he has moves.

VIDEO: Arianna Afsar "The Winner Takes it All" American Idol

Another contender for cutest member of this year's show:

VIDEO: Arianna Afsar "The Winner Takes it All" American Idol
source

Arianna Afsar is singing Abba's, "The Winner Takes it All." I'm not really familiar with this song and it's a little too maudlin for me, but she does a great job with it. She's also cute as a button and I think she's a shoo-in for top 12, but the judges disagree with me. Simon says it was terrible and dreary. Randy says that it wasn't the right song for her. Kara says it was dark and depressing, but Paula says that there were some bright moments.

Ju'Not Joyner is singing the ubiquitous "Hey There Delilah." He turns it into an R&B song and does a better job with it than the other Idol contestants from earlier rounds. He didn't really do much for me during Hollywood week, but I'm pretty impressed with him tonight. Randy loved it, while Kara loves his take on the song. Paula says he had a nice vocal, and even Simon says it was better than he thought it would be.

America's Next Top Model, Cycle 13

America's Next Top Model, Cycle 13
source

While Cycle 12 has fans excited, the twist on America's Next Top Model's 13th Cycle has everyone buzzing. Even so, it's best to hear it from the show's casting director, Michelle Mock-Falcon. She was recently interviewed by Entertainment Weekly's PopWatch, and she discussed the reasons behind Cycle 13's exciting turn of events.

According to the CW, Cycle 13 will be filled with models 5'7” and under for the first time since America's Next Top Model premiered. Michelle Mock-Falcon and the show have been swarmed by girls hoping to make it on the series, but couldn't fulfill the height requirement.

“Since the show started, we've always had girls under 5'7" asking and begging, quite frankly, Tyra to please give them a chance,” Mock-Falcon explained. “I mean, she would get stopped in the street, in restaurants, anywhere, by girls asking how they can do it being as short as they are. We've been thinking about it for a while now, what a great opportunity to give these girls that opportunity. America's Next Top Model Cycle 13 is all about opportunity...”

Cowboys Release Terrell Owens - Now What?

I'm hoping Terrell gets picked up by the Knicks...

Cowboys Release Terrell Owens

source

Terrell Owens' days in Dallas are over after all. ESPN and Fox Sports are among several outlets reporting that the Cowboys have cut Owens, who averaged 1,196 receiving yards in three seasons with the team. The Cowboys had yet to confirm the move as of 2 a.m. ET Thursday morning.

Owens' divisive effect inside the Cowboys locker room may have prompted Owens' dismissal. In December, the Cowboys had several off-field dramas as a fissure developed between Owens and QB Tony Romo.

Owens at several points during the season publicly asked for a bigger role in the offense...

..."It's still semi-surprising that they'd actually pull the trigger on releasing Terrell Owens, but that's what the Cowboys did, so it looks."

Barbara Bush Heart Surgery

Barbara Bush, mother of former President George W. Bush, was recovering on Wednesday from heart surgery in a Houston hospital where her aortic valve was replaced, a spokeswoman said.

The surgery was performed at Methodist Hospital's DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center, according to a statement released by the hospital.

The procedure was scheduled last week after Bush, 83, the wife of former President George H.W. Bush, experienced shortness of breath and doctors detected a hardened valve in her heart, the hospital said.

She also underwent surgery in late November for a perforated ulcer and was released from the hospital on December 2.

Sulfur Hexafluoride & Computers

I still fear it's too late for us to change our ways in time, but hopefully mankind will prove me wrong..

Sulfur Hexafluoride & Computers

source

California regulators Thursday adopted the world's first mandatory measures to control highly potent greenhouse gases emitted by the computer manufacturing industry.

The new rules would cover 85 plants, mostly in Silicon Valley. They require most computer chip makers to slash releases of sulfur hexafluoride and other fluorinated gases by more than half over the next three years.

The sulfur hexafluoride chemicals are used in small amounts but "pose a danger to the planet because they have such a high capacity to trap atmospheric heat," said Mary Nichols, chairwoman of the Air Resources Board.

The fluorinated gases are 6,500 to 23,900 times more potent than carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas emitted by automobiles, power plants and refineries, among other sources. A single pound of sulfur hexafluoride has the same heat-trapping potential as 10 metric tons of carbon dioxide, or an automobile trip around the Earth.

Rodial Tummy Tuck, Does It Work?

Rodial Tummy Tuck is a cream that you apply twice a day, and is supposed to play the role of tummy tuck surgery. There does not seem to be any evidence that it actually works.

Rodial Tummy Tuck, Does It Work?
source

Rodial Tummy Tuck slimming cream is a skin care cream recently being reviewed. Since the promises that Rodial Tummy Tuck skin cream gives are very surprising, such as stomach flattening formula with stomach flattening micro fibers helping slim and visibly tighten the abdominal area, we looked around for answers on whether the cream or lotion actually works.

First let's look at the description of Rodial Tummy Tuck. Rodial on its product website writes that the Tummy Tuck is "clinically proven to reduce the abdominal area by up to TWO centimetres in 8 weeks." The "fig extract and neuropeptides break down fatty cells and boost cell metabolism. Use daily for two months."

...Perhaps the Rodial Tummy Tuck is fantastic, but I would not say the same about the prices. It is very expensive and sells at £97.87 British pounds (in US I saw it sold for $130 dollars) in the Rodial's website. Indeed, not many people can afford the price tag for Rodial Tummy Tuck.

A stiff leg kick from Jardine, who evades a two-hook combo from Jackson. Rampage with a soft body kick as Jardine lands a straight right. Rampage ducks under a Jardine combination, and gets an easy double-leg takedown. Jardine uses an underhook to stand-up from half guard, and Jackson pushes him to the fence, missing with an uppercut before disengaging. Two mild leg kicks from Jardine land, and a third is met with a tired right cross from Jackson. An awkward right cross lands for Keith Jardine. Jackson looking to land his left hook in winging exchanges, but unsuccessful thus far. Rampage Jackson reels Keith Jardine momentarily with a counter right cross but can't follow up. Jardine with a lazy double-leg attempt, but Jackson easily stuffs it, and turns him into the cage. Referee Yves Lavigne breaks them apart with just under a minute to spare. A Jackson right cross lands, and he lands three left hooks in wild, winging exchanges. A soft Jardine right hook lands. Two head kicks from Jardine are blocked by a tired Jackson. With less than five seconds to spare, Jackson parries a lazy cross from Jardine, and lands a left-right combo that puts Jardine on the mat, clinging to a single leg as the round ends, as seen in the video of UFC 96's main event...

Carwin comes forward first, throwing punches ,but Gonzaga circlesaway. Gonzaga lands two hard right crosses, and Carwin clinches up, badly rocked. A foot sweep against the fence but Carwin on his back. Carwin gets full guard after starting in half, and stands up against the fence nicely. Gonzaga lands a right hand, and as he to throw a jab-cross, Carwin lands a short right hook that collapses Gonzaga. Carwin dives on Gonzaga, swinging hammerfists on his downed foe until Dan Miragliotta steps in at 1:09, giving Carwin the quick comeback KO as seen in the video below, a UFC 96 highlight.

VIDEO: Pete Sell vs. Matt Brown UFC 96

Weird fight, with Matt Brown finally winning after thinking the fight was over and letting Sell go. Good fight but not a good look for UFC 96, with the winning fighter practically begging the ref to have mercy and stop the fight.

VIDEO: Pete Sell vs. Matt Brown

A Matt Brown head kick is blocked to start. Brown lands a superman punch, and the lands another superman punch. Sell looks hurt, and goes down on a Brown left-right combo. There is an awkward moment as Sell topples over, as Brown thinks the fight is over, but referee Yves Lavigne implores, "Go go go go!" Brown dives on Sell, dropping with a series of knees. Sell holds on feebly to a single leg, until Brown gets back to his feet. Brown continues to land punches and kicks all over Sell, who eventually just falls over as Brown pushes him away. An incredulous Brown, who is in disbelief the fight isn't over yet, lands two right hands that bobble Sell's head on the mat, forcing Lavigne to stop the truly bizarre beatdown at 1:32 of the first round.

Hamill quickly pressing forward, and thwarts a single-leg attempt from Munoz. An inside leg kick for Hamill lands, and he follows forward with an awkward barrage of punches which force Munoz to shoot a single. He nearly gets Hamill to the mat, but Hamill is able to regain his balance and pancake the former Oklahoma State wrestler and get back to his feet. A left hook to the body lands solid for Munoz. Munoz loading up with right hooks which are blocked by Hamill. Munoz puts a left hook to the body of Hamill, who walks him down, and lands with another awkward smattering of punches, punctuated with a stiff right cross, the best punch of the fight. Right cross lands for Hamill as Munoz come forward. Munoz swims to the clinch, but a left hook is largely blocked. Hamill again traps Munoz on the fence and lands two hooks as Munoz attempts to weave away. As Munoz strafes along the fence, Hamill launches a right roundhouse kick that figuratively decapitates Munoz, crumpling him against the cage, and forcing referee Dan Miragliotta to rescue Munoz at 3:53 of the first round. Munoz is out cold, and remains down following the stoppage. Munoz was down for several minutes, but eventually walked out of the Octagon under his own power wearing a neck brace, as seen in the gruesome UFC 96 video below. Hard core.

VIDEO: Lil Kim & Derek Hough, Dancing With The Stars Season 8 Premiere

The first couple to dance in season 8 is Lil' Kim and Derek Hough. Lil' Kim first watched Dancing with the Stars in prison with her prison bitches. (I think she was in prison for perjury.) That's actually really cute. Tonight, they dance the cha cha cha, and she is wearing this really fringey, metallic thing, just like costume designer Randall Christensen promised. He didn't tell me about her tremendous rack, though. Their cha cha is awesome. Lil' Kim has great rhythm, a great swagger and a lot of attitude. I'm curious about what Len Goodman will say about it. Actually, Len calls it "first class," but still comments that she has to work on her posture. Bruno Tonioli, the resident horndog, calls it "nasty but tasty." Carrie Ann Inaba rounds out the judges' comments with some more positive words, plus a few tips on shaking off the nerves. And the scores: Carrie Ann gives 7, Len gives 7 and Bruno gives 7, for a 21 out of 30.

An inauspicious debut for Belinda Carlisle?

VIDEO: Belinda Carlisle and Jonathan Roberts, Dancing With The Stars, Season 8 Premiere
source

Belinda Carlisle and Jonathan Roberts are the second couple. They've got the waltz first, and Belinda has a very hard time with the spins because she gets really, really dizzy. She says in rehearsal, "Maybe you should keep a bucket nearby," but actually, on stage, she seems to have gotten her dizziness a bit more under control. She looks incredibly stiff, however, and she doesn't move her neck at all when she spins, giving her an oddly mannequin-like look. Altogether, I'm bored with their routine. Bruno compares her to Cloris Leachman, grand dame of comedy from last season of Dancing with the Stars. Carrie Ann advises her to trust Jonathan more and let him lead her. Len is actually the most gracious of the judges, pointing out that she was graceful and elegant in parts. The scores: Carrie Ann gives 6, Len gives 6 and Bruno gives 5, for a 17 out of 30. The crowd boos the low scores.

An underrated debut from Lawrence Taylor on the premiere of DWTS season 8:

VIDEO: Lawrence Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska, Dancing With The Stars Season 8

NFL great Lawrence Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska take the stage next. Yay! Edyta is definitely my favorite, favorite pro, and I've always thought the football players have done well. In rehearsal, Edyta shows him the shoes he's going to wear while dancing, and he's not too thrilled about the heels. He's afraid to look funny on the dance floor, but I have faith that he'll be great in Edyta's hands. They dance the cha cha cha tonight, and I'm really impressed with him already. His movements are confident. Plus, Edyta's costume is weirdly fringed and definitely cool. I'm a fan. Carrie Ann isn't all that impressed, though, and says that he needs to be more on the offensive. Len compliments Lawrence on his natural ease, but Bruno says that he's a bit too laid-back and needs to attack the movements more. Is it me, or is Len actually going to be the nice judge this season? The scores: Carrie Ann gives 6, Len gives 5 and Bruno gives 5, for a 16 out of 30. The thing is, I think the judges are purposely under-scoring him because he's a football player. I thought he definitely did better than a 16.

Perhaps the best looking couple in this year's DWTS season 8, off to a high scoring start in the premiere episode:

VIDEO: Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke, Dancing With The Stars Season 8 Premiere

Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke take the stage next. He is the naked guy from the Sex and the City movie. In rehearsal, Cheryl reprimands Gilles for being too feminine, and works extra-hard to overcome his lack of fanbase. They've got the cha cha cha tonight, and you know what? I'm rather impressed. I think he's got a lot of potential. It's a sexy, sassy routine, and he's got pretty good technique for a beginner. Carrie Ann is all praise, Bruno calls it "tight, sharp and sexy" and winks at Cheryl for getting a hottie. Len rounds out the praise, complimenting both Gilles and Cheryl. The scores: Carrie Ann gives 8, Len gives 8 and Bruno gives 8, for a 24 out of 30.

VIDEO: Alexis Grace "Jolene" American Idol

Alexis Grace sings the Dolly Parton classic Jolene, not the best performance IMO.. Dolly brings the funk in the original, as did Jack White in his version, this was kinda blah by comparison:

It seemed like Alexis Grace missed the mark a bit on this American Idol March 17 top 11 performance of “Jolene” by Dolly Parton. Check out the video clip of Alexis - do you think it will be a hit or a miss with viewers?

VIDEO: Marcus Jordan, Michael Jordan's Son - Highlights

Marcus Jordan, son of Michael Jordan, is now one of the top prospects according to scouts after just leading his prep school team to the title. Here's a video highlight reel of Marcus Jordan:

Michael Jordan celebrated another Chicago basketball championship — his son's.

Marcus Jordan, son of the Bulls' six-time champion, scored a game-high 19 points to lead Chicago Whitney Young to a 69-66 victory over Waukegan in the Illinois Class 4A championship Saturday.

As Marcus Jordan and his teammates celebrated on the court after the final buzzer, Michael Jordan stood quietly, clapping his hands with tears in his eyes.

"Crying?" the NBA great said in response to a reporter's question. "I'm not crying. Not for me, anyway."

The younger Jordan was key down the stretch after two teammates fouled out, hitting four of four free throws in the final 3 minutes to seal the victory.

VIDEO: Obama 60 Minutes Interview 3/22/09

Video of President Barack Obama's interview on 60 minutes, featuring a hard hitting response to Dick Cheney.

VIDEO: Obama 60 Minutes Interview 3/22/09

President Obama is reprising some of his most familiar campaign rhetoric to criticize Dick Cheney, saying in an interview that the former vice president has no room to criticize him on national security.

“How many terrorists have actually been brought to justice under the philosophy that is being promoted by Vice President Cheney?” Obama asked on “60 Minutes,” according to excerpts released by CBS ahead of its Sunday airing. “It hasn't made us safer. What it has been is a great advertisement for anti-American sentiment.”

Obama’s volley comes a week after Cheney said the new president was taking steps to “raise the risk to the American people of another attack.”

Cheney, in an interview with CNN’s John King last Sunday, singled out Obama’s intent to close the detention center at Guantanamo Bay, where many terrorism suspects are held, arguing that the administration was returning to a law enforcement rather than a full-scale military approach to terrorism.

Obama's tough words for Cheney represent the latest Salvo in what has become a shooting war between the new administration and the forner vice president.

While President Bush said in his first public appearance this week that he would not criticize his successor, Cheney has not been shy about going after Obama since leaving office. Top administration officials, happy to have the unpopulr Cheney as the face of the GOP, have been happy to engage him. Earlier this week, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs compared Cheney to conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh, and said they both were members of the same right-wing "cabal."

Reminded by CBS’s Steve Kroft in the interview that some of the detainees at the facility had rejoined terrorist groups, Obama said that U.S. officials had to determine which individuals truly posed a danger to national security.

“There is no doubt that we have not done a particularly effective job in sorting through who are truly dangerous individuals…to make sure [they] are not a threat to us,” Obama said. But he called the Bush administration’s Gitmo policy of prolonged detention with no trials “unsustainable.”

VIDEO: Adam Lambert "Tracks of My Tears" American Idol

Adam Lambert for the win! Very well played, acting like a weirdo up until now so that a simple straightforward performance looks liek a miracle. Very nice rendition of "Tracks of My Tears" by Adam Lambert though, I'm not hating at all. Adam Lambert's looking like a favorite for the top 3 or so, at least.
