'Glee' Going On Tour (VIDEO)

The cast of Glee, the smash hit musical TV show, is getting ready to go on a concert tour!

The show has won hearts of theater geeks and lovers of pop music across the country, with its lovable high school characters, and is now set to travel across the country, with fans eagerly awaiting the chance to get concert tickets and see their favorite Glee stars in person.

According to Glee's creator, Murphy, "Glee's music is not only driving the show, making it the freshest program on broadcast television, but it's also driving revenues. This is a new sort of model. It used to be with TV that you would have the show, then foreign sales, then DVD sales and then syndication sales, but DVD sales have really taken a cut out of syndication. This is a whole new way for Fox to earn revenue on a show."

It's not surprising given that the series' music has been exploding on iTunes and the first Glee soundtrack drops on Nov. 3. Back in July, Fox Broadcasting president Kevin Reilly hinted at the development to EW. "We've had a tremendous amount of enthusiasm from our music partners," said Reilly. "Certainly if these kids become stars in their own right, who knows? Live appearances. Albums. There's lots of things that could happen..."
