North Korea: Brain Cells Super Drink?

According to one company in the downtradden company, North Korea is making big news with their claim that they've invented a "super drink" that will help build brain cells, and also have anti-aging effect.

The new health drink has "microelements" that supposedly offer these health benefits. Said a spokesperson for the company making the super drink, "protects skin from wrinkles and black spots and prevents such geriatric diseases as cerebral hemorrhage, myocardium and brain infarction by removing acid effete matters in time, proved efficacious among workers of such industrial establishments as thermal power station and smeltery and at medical institutions."

Apparently the super drink increases your ability to write colorful prose, at the very least! Given North Korea's dubious track record in so many other areas, though, we will adopt a wait and see attitude on the brain-cell boosting powers of this drinbk.

It seems unlikely to help revive the North Korea's dying economy or feed any of its starving people, but the government says it has developed a "super drink" that it claims has brain-building and anti-aging properties. The state's official news agency says the drink contains several dozen kinds of "microelements" that create new brain cells and halt age-related skin damage. That's about as believable as the government's insistence that it didn't attack that South Korean warship in March.
