Danielle Staub: Guilty (News on Daughter)


Some real life consequences for a reality TV star, as the daughter of Danielle Staub of "Real Housewives of New Jersey" was found guilty of assault for an incident that apparently involved pulling hair extensions out.

The fight took place in New Jersey last year and made lots of news since it involved the cast of one of the top reality tv shows. Danielle Staub's daughter Ashley was accused of getting into a fight and pulling out another woman's hair extensions, leading to charges being pressed. The attorney for Danielle Staub and her daughter said "Ashley was found guilty of the simple assault charge and the judge dismissed the harassment charge. The judge was very sympathetic and I want to thank the prosecutor; when it came down to sentencing Ashley, Mr. Melani also expressed sympathy for Ashley and asked the judge to be extremely lenient."

Ashley Holmes, the teenager accused of assaulting "Real Housewives of New Jersey" reality star Danielle Staub was found guilty in municipal court Friday and given a minimal fine. Judge Lawrence Katz said Holmes was guilty of one count of assault from the complaint by Staub. Prosecutor Tom Melani said said Holmes will have to pay a fine of $189, which includes the $33 court cost. "I was glad the cameras didn't show and the proceedings took place like any other proceedings in courts." Melani said...
