Hello Kitty Wine! (PHOTOS)

After 35 years as the world's favorite cartoon cat, Hello Kitty found a very mature way to celebrate: her own brtand of Hello Kitty wine!

The hello kitty wine is a California wine, and comes in either pinot noir or a semi-sweet sparkling style. The bottles will sell for $30 dollars, or $20 depending on which one you get.

Said the makers of the wine: "Hello Kitty is not just for children. She is a recognised cult fashion icon among teenagers and adults around the world. She has been trendy for years. You see her on everything from bags and clothing to Porsches and Smart cars. We're very proud for our wine to be associated with her.'

Hello Kitty was created in 1974 by Ikuko Shimizu for Japan's Sanrio Company, and accounts for well over £650m in global sales, and adorns everything from the original coin purse, to an entire theme park, Sanrio Puroland in Tokyo. And now she has her very own wine! See below for photos.

The world's most popular cartoon kitty cat now has her own wine. Hello Kitty Wines are for sale at Hi Times Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, Calif. Varieties include a pinot noir and a "sweet pink" semi-sweet sparkler, ranging in price from $19.98 to $29.98. The wines will debut in other stores across the western United States in the next several months, Drew Hibbert, CEO of Innovation Spirits, the company marketing the wine, told LA Weekly.//
