Eminem Gay Marriage

Eminem has always been ne of the most talented pop stars but also one of the most troubled, and frankly the most hateful. But judging by a recent interview, he is evolving on some issues as her gets older, at least a little bit.

When he was asked by the NY Times about gay marriage, this was the exchange:

You've been accused of writing gay-bashing lyrics in the past. Would you like to see gay marriage approved in Michigan, where you live?

I think if two people love each other, then what the hell? I think that everyone should have the chance to be equally miserable, if they want.

A fairly enlightened response, albeit cynical. I've listened to his album and there's still a fair share of random epithets aimed toward "sluts" and such, but he does sound like he's maturing in some ways, without a doubt. Eminem's new album "Recovery" comes out soon, and it's definitely worth a download. I mean a paid, legal download, of course.

As Eminem relaxes into his mellow middle period, the rapper has spoken out in favour of gay marriage. "Everyone should have the chance to be equally miserable," he said in a recent interview, offering similar pessimism on touring, poetry and his dear old mum. "I think I've calmed down a bit," Eminem told the New York Times Magazine, in an article to be published on Sunday. "My overall look on things is a lot more mature than it used to be." Case in point is his record on homosexuality.
