Teen Sailor Missing (VIDEO)


After scaring her family and the world with the alarming news that she had gone missing in a storm, the teenager who tried to sail around the world has reportedly been located, and may soon be rescued from her boat that is now stranded at sea.

Abby Sunderland was caught in a storm in the Indian Ocean, and had lost contact with the world, leading to a major scare, but now reports have just come in that she has been located, and is floating away from Africa towards Australia.

Australian rescue teams are now moving in, and are expected to pick her up and take her to land shortly. Thank goodness!

A missing teen sailor has been spotted floating in the Indian Ocean, not far from where she set off distress beacons some 13 hours earlier, Australian authorities confirmed Friday. A Qantas A-330 Airbus found Abby Sunderland, 16, around 3,700 kilometers west of Perth, in Western Australia. According to Perth police, the American teenager is still onboard her yacht "Wild Eyes." Police said she was packing up her possessions in preparation for the arrival of a fishing boat that will collect her in 24 hours.
