Snooki spends a lot of time on camera as part of MTV's smash hit Jersey Shore, but here's one shot she'd probably rather have avoided: Snooki's mug shot after fetting arrested last week!

Nicole Polizzi aka Snooki was arrested for disorderly conduct, and as her lawyers try to get her out of this latest batch of legal trouble, her mug shot was leaked out by TMZ, and shows her looking rather frazzled and out of sorts. Apparently her arrest came after getting overly intoxicated in the daytime, and making a public display of drunkenness. There is no word yet on whether she is ready to get counseling or treatment for alcohol addiction., but binge drinking is certainly a serious matter that shouldn't be taken as a joke, even if it makes for good television.

Here is Snooki's mug shot -- taken moments after the Seaside Heights PD arrested the "Jersey Shore" star for disorderly conduct Friday afternoon. Snooki -- aka Nicole Polizzi -- was in held in custody for several hours ... before she was released on her own recognizance. As we previously reported, Snooki had been partying on the boardwalk earlier in the day with a beer bong ... and at one point, she fell off of a bicycle.
