Spice Girls musical in the works!

Do you wish the Spice Girls were back? Are you sure? Well you just might get what you wished for, as word comes in that the Spice Girls may have their very own Broadway musical coming soon.

The play would be along the lines of Mamma Mia, which was based on ABBA, and would be put together by the producer of that show. The working title is "Viva Forever", an appropriately meaningless title for a musical about what might be the fluffiest pop group ever.

The Spice Girls, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Chisholm and Victoria Beckham, sold a whopping $75 million records. Each of them has gone on to various endeavors on their own, with Beckham of course keeping the highest profile as the wife of soccer star David Beckham.

Judy Craymer, the producer of the megahit ABBA musical "Mamma Mia!," says she plans next to take on the Spice Girls. In announcement Thursday, Craymer said she was developing a show around the famous English girl-group--composed of performers Scary, Sporty, Baby, Ginger and Posh--under the curious working title of "Viva Forever." Cryamer said that this is not to be a tribute show but a musical, presumably in the same style as "Mamma Mia," which placed ABBA hits into a new narrative context.
