Jeffrey Skilling Convicted of Fraud, Conspiracy, Insider Trading


Jeffrey Skilling, who oversaw a reign of theft and fraud at Enron, was convicted of insider trading, found and conspiracy in the biggest corporate fraud in the history of the financial sector, leaving countless investors as victims.

Skilling lef the one mighty Enron bankrupt, and left their clients having lost over a billion dollars.

Jeffrey Skilling was convicted of counts including insider trading and "honest services fraud" in a huge landmark case involving financial dealings with Enron.

That funny money business brought the company to bankruptcy and essentially stole a billion dollars from innocent people. But now Skillings' case is before the Supreme Court and could be overturned.

Former Enron Chief Executive Jeffrey Skilling, who gained infamy as the man who orchestrated the largest corporate fraud in history, was sentenced to more than 24 years in jail Monday. The 52-year-old Skilling stood stoically, his hands clasped before him, as presiding Judge Sim Lake handed down his sentence. His wife Rebecca, however, sobbed quietly in her seat as victims of Enron's collapse watched the proceedings stone-faced.
