A gown worn by Michelle Obama will be given to the Smithsonian.

The lovely gown was worn by the new first lady at the inauguration of her husband President Barack Obama

It was a white chiffon gown with a one-shouldered design and a bead arrangement.

The designer was a new name in the fashion world, 27 year-old Jason Wu who is based in NY. He will also be on hand for the donation.

Michelle Obama also wore the gowb at 10 inaugural balls, and it was a high fashion hit all over town.
