Mel Gibson, Mexican Jail Protest!


As Mel Gibson prepares to shoot his new movie at a Mexican jail, relatives and advocates for the inmates of that prison are protesting the filming, saying it's causing unfair treatment of the prisoners.

According to the protestors, the inmates would be separated from their families due to the filming, as they are transferred to other facilities, making it impossible for familiesto keep giving them food and support. Authorities in Mexico are denying that such transfers will even take place, confirming that part of the prison will be cleared out but saying the reports of transfers are "unfounded rumors." Mel Gibson has issued no comment yet. But his friend Danny Glover was reported to say, "protestors in Mexico? I'm too old for this s**t."
