Famous Handshake Snubs

There's nothing more embarrassing for a celebrity than getting dissed on a handshake! And it happens more often than you might expect, in the media world where everyone stays focused on their own egos.

Rand Paul recently refused to shake the hand of his opponent in the senate race, who has made strong charges about him. Peyton Manning and the New Orleans Saints had a similar awkward moment. And even President Obama had an alleged incident with a Russian leader, though the truth of that one is in doubt. For more see below!

John McCain at least made eye contact with Barack Obama during tonight's presidential debate. But that seemed to be about all the pleasantry he could manage. First he called Obama "that one." Now blogs are burning up with chatter that McCain also refused Obama's post-debate handshake, pointing him to wife Cindy instead. "It is apparent Senator McCain has some disdain for Senator Obama," CNN's Wolf Blitzer said. The attached video appears to show the snub, at least at first, but then McCain sticks out his hand -- his left hand -- like maybe he expects Obama to come back.
