Consumer Lawsuits Against Debt Collectors

Can you go to court and hit back against debt collectors? As the economy continues to struggle, debt collectors are being more aggressive than ever in harassing citizens, allowing more consumer lawsuits to turn the tables and file lawsuits against them.

As debt collectors ue possibly illegal tactics, lawsuits against them are up as much as 60%. Said one lawyer of these lawsuits against debt collectors, "This is definitely increasing in popularity, It's most likely because debt collectors are hurting."

"They said I'd go to jail, lose my family, my home, never see my children again. It was really brutal. It was horrifying. I didn't know I had the right to make it stop. After bawling my eyes out every day, I broke down and one of the ladies at the office told me to get an attorney."
