Top All-Time Quarterbacks: Bart Starr!

Football fans love to debate the top all=time quarterback, and named like Joe Namath, Johnny Unitus, Joe Montana and Peyton Manning are always sure to come up. But one name that shouldn't be forgotten is one of the oldest of all, the name of All time top quarterback Bart Starr!

Bart Starr was drafted way back in 1956, in the 17th round no less, by the Green Bay Packers, and in the first few years he barely even played. But once Vince Lombardi took over as head coach, he took Bart Starr under his wong and turned him into one of football's first great quarterbacks. He went on to be the MVP in the first two Super Bowls, and carried a streak of several years in which the Green Bay Packers went undefeatedin the postseason. So when you are making your list of all-time top quarterbacks, don't sleep on Bart Starr as a highly qualified name for that list.

With the outstanding career of Green Bay quarterback Brett Favre, quickly coming to a close (hopefully) I thought it would be interesting to compare Favre with another Packers great, Hall of Fame inductee, Bart Starr, the man widely recognized as the greatest quarterback in Green Bay history - until Favre came along that is. But who comes out on top if you compare Bart Starr with greats like Favre?
