Is General Petraeus running for President in 2012? Rumors have been flying about the esteemed General running for the White House, after a report surfaced that he was making a commencement address at the University of Iowa in 2010. Iowa of course is a state candidates always court early on, as it is a key early bellwether in all presidential primary campaigns. But representatives of the General say these rumors are purely fiction. A statement from CENTCOM said: "Contrary to several recent blogs, General David Petraeus, the Commander of the US Central Command, has not been asked to speak at a university commencement in Iowa in 2010 and has no plans to do so.
