Scott Roeder, the man being questioned in connection with the Dr. George Tiller murder investigation lives in Merriam.

The FBI has confirmed the home at 51st and Knox is part of the investiagtion into the shooting of Dr. Tiller. Johnson County property records show ties between the home and Scott Roeder.

Scott Roeder, 51, is the man turned over to Wichita Police in connection with the shooting. The suspect is expected to be charged Monday as seen in the video below.

Court records and Internet postings show that a man named Scott Roeder has a criminal record and a background of anti-abortion postings on sympathetic Web sites.

Witnesses at the Wichita church where Dr. Tiller was shot got a good look at the gunman and the car taking off moment later.

Police stopped that car Sunday afternoon just outside the metro traveling north on I-35 near the Gardner exit. FOX 4 was there and got exclusive video of Roeder in the backseat of a patrol car. Later in the day, Roeder was taken by Wichita Police from the adult detention facility in Gardner.

"Relatives identified him as Scott Roeder. Roeder's uncle, Clarence Roeder, issued a statement Sunday evening."This is a tragedy for the Tiller family and we feel so badly about that, that Scott would murder the doctor in the Lutheran church. We are also Lutherans, and that adds a double touch of sadness and irony."

Family members told KMBC's Jim Flink that Scott Roeder had been in and out of trouble in the 1990s, and they had not seen him since 2000, when his father died.

Scott Roeder killed someone who specialized in killing infants. It has been legal for Tiller to kill the little tots for several decades now. Fifty years ago he would have been put in prison for the killings, but now it is Roeder who will go to prison for killing the infant killer.
