Wyclef, Angelina Jolie Aid Haiti (VIDEO)


Two celebrities who have been at the forefront of helping people for years are now front and center in the effort to help Haiti: Angelina Jolie and Wyclef.

Wyclef Jean, of the Fugees, has been leading the effort to help Haiti for years with his charity NGO at Yele.org. And in the immediate aftermath of this horrific earthquake, he immediately set up a system so anyone can text "yele" to 501501 on their phones, and give $5 to Haiti relief through his Yele organization, which is highly respected and well regarded for their work. And Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have also joined in, after having spent time in Haiti with Wyclef before, looking for ways to address the ongoing desperate poverty there even before this earthquake.

Wyclef said about the need for aid: ""I cannot stress enough what a human disaster this is, and idle hands will only make this tragedy worse. The over 2 million people in Port-au-Prince tonight face catastrophe alone. We must act now... President Obama has already said that the U.S. stands 'ready to assist' the Haitian people..."
