Tupac's Mother Speech 'Brings Heat' In Memphis

Afeni Shakur, mother of the late legendary rapper and Hip Hop icon, Tupac Shakur, recently made a speech in Memphis at the Dream Reborn Conference and brought what some are calling 'the heat'.

"Everything, I'm about to tell you is because of God's Glory," started Afeni Shakur at the beginning of her speech. "April 4th, 1968 Dr. Reverend Martin Luther King was murdered in this place, [and] that started something in this country. April 2nd 1969, 363 days later, 21 Black Panthers was arrested in New York City-- 1 year later. So, the other day I just celebrated 39 years of my arrest in where did I celebrate it at-- Virginia Tech, Virginia Tech. Yes! There's so much healing to be done in our places...," she continued.

Afeni went on to ask, "Where are the women?," and encouraged them to tell their stories as she continued to share her story with them...
