Jon is an immature wimp...Kate is not responsible for his decisions, if he wanted a change in their relationship he should have addressed it with her.
Instead he abandoned his wife and eight children. He once said he hadn't wanted any more children after the twins but then he and Kate decided to try for one more...they both knew a multiple birth was possible and that neither of them would choose for embryo reduction...and they ended up with six more. He never looked as if he truly engaged with the children and appeared as if he was not enjoying caring for them. He appears to be a man who prefers the bachelor life and as much distance as possible from his family...he will live to regret this decision and the day will come when the children will realize what a poor parent he has been and how much he lacks solid morals...he will not be able to repair that fact. I sincerely hope Kate and the children are in counseling so they can transcend his irresponsible and indifferent behaviors, and so they can establish a happy life...Maddy especially needs some behavioral interventions...perhaps she was already reflecting some underlying tensions in the household?

I have yet to understand why we as a society sit back and judge this man and his family life. You only saw a portion of his life, who are we to judge him and his family. We all need to focus on our own lives and figure out what is really important. The sad thing is the children will suffer because their family is being drug through the mud over and over.

I watched their show maybe six times and I was puzzled as to why Jon put up with Kates disrespectful attitude had towards him. All she did was demean him. If they 'were' a happy family they would still be together, life is to short to be in a miserable relationship.

Does Jon really think if he "marrys" of has a serious relationship with another young girl that THEY won't want to have children, get married etc. Then he will have these 8 fatherless children and step brothers/sisters etc. He should just fall in love with Kate again. When you STAY married you fall in and out of love with the same person instead of several different people. That was my Father's motto!!!

It was a real inspuration to me to watch Kate and Jon with the children. They should get on bended knee that ALL these children are extremely well and intelligent.

My daughter had a spina befida baby and she only has one. She has nutured her; therapy, doctors, 7 operations. She is now a Freshman in high school, honor society among 3,ooo children. We never gave up and I think Jon should think of this. Kate, I feel had to do what she had to do to keep things organized and on an up-hill journey.

So they went on TV. Do you have any idea how many Mothers, Fathers, Grandparent, etc. watch their show every week?

No I see who he truly is.....for sometime I thought it was Kate...but I realized that this man is an idiot...no wonder she always had to tell him what to do, he has no idea of what to do and no brain.....While she is busting her ass taking care of the 8 kids....and selling books and doing everything for the kids....He is out and about parading himself with every little shit he can find....what a disgrace...

Kate has systematically abused, belittled, and embarrassed Jon for years on nationwide TV, & he just took it like a whipped puppy. Now apparently the worm has turned, he's had more than enough, & she's crying because "he won't talk to me about anything". As usual, the poor kids are left to cope with the idiocy of the 2 adults in their lives who should be there for them, & it has to be very damaging. I won't watch the show any more; both of them disgust me! They got rich off of their kids; now the kids can suffer. They don't deserve the money they have made.

I don't understand why you'd want to have your life documented on TV anyway. No wonder Kate filed for divorce, because Jon cheated. Jon cheated because Kate wasn't the same person he'd married ten years ago. As soon as the money started rolling in, she became more and more obsessed with it. I would love to have my OWN home, instead of an apartment, and I would love to have all the freebies they have. Have they ever stopped to think of the kids? why can't they be honest with the kids, and tell them the truth? it must've been nice to go to Hawaii for a second honeymoon, compliments of TLC, of course, and the tax payers. Why did Kate say on national TV, to her kids nonetheless, that her and Jon would be together forever, and then turn around a year later and divorce. It just goes to show what she REALLY thinks of her kids... Mommy makes promises,then breaks them. They wouldn't be here in the public eye today if they hadn't come on to TV in the first place. I, for one, won't be watching the show anymore, and I haven't watched it for a while, and won't watch it again. It's a crazy life, but it's YOUR life. Sorry, it's not your life anymore, it's the public's life. You made that choice without even thinking of your kids. You disgust me, Kate. Jon deserves to have someone that's not going to force him to have kids he doesn't want to have, and he deserves to have a life without someone bitching him about how he breathes on TV. I just hope that the kids don't get the crappy end of the stick, and I hope that Jon and Kate come to their senses and take their show off the air before it's too late, and the kids get hurt.
