Buffy Star Charged


One of the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer stars has some new troubles than their vampire training can't help them with.

Nicholas Brandan, who co-starred in the hit TV show, was arrested this wee and charged with police battery, of all things. He was also charged with vandalism.

As the story goes, there was a call put in about a drunk and disorderly man, and when cops arrived they found Brendan on the scene, and he resisted being taken in before fleeing the cops, running until he got tasered and was then subdued.

Nicholas Brendon has been charged with battery against a police officer and vandalism following his arrest last month in Venice, Calif., officials said. Brendon, 38, is best known for portraying sidekick Xander on TV's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" for seven seasons, ending in 2003. He now has a recurring role on "Criminal Minds." The actor reportedly was arrested March 17 after police received a complaint about a drunk and disorderly man. TMZ quoted unnamed police sources as saying Brendon tried to assault officers who responded to the call, then ran until he was subdued by police with a taser.
