September 19, 2006The Big Picture: Bill Clinton's All-White Blogger Meeting in Harlem![]() Not a good look. But I guess it's educational in an Ice Cube here's what they think about you sort of way, to watch the liberal blogosphere lecture colored folks on letting go of "identity politics" so they can focus on the "big picture." It's like Nas said at the concert. "None of these fuckers give a fuck about us. Not Kerry. Not Bush. Not Clinton. We need our own shit." We need land. Our own armies. Own resources. Until then, we'll always be white folks pets and entertainers. I never understood why people dickrode Clinton in the first place. Hopefully this will put everything in perspective for them. You have any idea how caniving and slimy you gotta be to be a U.S. president? Out. (Did you dig the HipHop music tie-in via an artist, Smooth? Now where's our HIP-HOP oriented news at, bruh? Thanks.) -Black People Posted by: Black People at September 19, 2006 1:25 PM Why do you people always have to make everything about race? ;) Posted by: Carmen Van Kerckhove at September 19, 2006 2:40 PM Barring the "you people" 1980s bait, you're joking, right? -Black People Posted by: Black People at September 19, 2006 5:17 PM clinton in harlem? Posted by: trusouth at September 19, 2006 8:01 PM Letting go of "identity politics" doesn't seem like a bad idea. Only problem is, for it to work But then again it has to start somewhere......might seem like a great idea. Is there anything really wrong though with letting go of "identity politics"? I'm just trying to still figure out what this "big picture" is. Posted by: Pez at September 21, 2006 11:12 AM Alot of people think that just because Clinton smoked weed and got head in the oval office, meant that he was a cool president...whomp whomp whomp whoomp!! Sadly mistaken folks Bill was just as corrupt.. look it up. Posted by: DJ Humble at September 21, 2006 2:25 PM That's some B.S. but don't think I'm going African Family Robinson with you, Black People. Posted by: janine at September 21, 2006 3:10 PM I don't get it. Your comment is lost on me, Janine. Posted by: Black People at September 21, 2006 3:35 PM jokes. I was referring to: "We need land. Our own armies. Own resources." Posted by: janine at September 21, 2006 4:14 PM ...instead of Swiss Family Robinson Posted by: janine at September 21, 2006 4:15 PM In the 21st century is is incorect to say, "...we'll always be white folks pets and entertainers. " If you are someone's property in this day and age then you are owned by the system. Not a particular race. The true power struggle in our nation is no longer about racial balances but a war between the "haves" and the "have-nots." Those with power want to hold onto it, and those without wonder where they went wrong. The Men and Women who truly control this country are doing what they can to make others feel included, as to limit the distention and ill-will towards our power hierarchy. If people feel like they are actually part of this system, then they will turn a blind eye to the negative facets of this so-called American Dream. This system, their system, has harnassed the American people for an unknown purpose. The corruption you speak of is rampant in all levels of our bureaucracy, all levels of the mainstream media, and fully infiltrated into our political process. Our country has been hijacked out from underneath us. Not only has the wool been pulled over our eyes but it is being shoved down our throat and we are choaking with little resitance... all worthy Americans: stay true to the most high. Posted by: doc green at September 21, 2006 5:24 PM Oh I get it Janinine, sorry. Yeah that is kinda funny. Doc Green, everything you said is right. Most of it. But race is always at the root. It always has been. In the heirarchy of identity it is listed before social status. You gotta be honest. -Black People Posted by: Black People at September 21, 2006 5:50 PM Hey, you guys might wanna go to the home page and click on the Rick Ross link at the very top. We're actually talking about hiphop music in there. -Black People Posted by: Black People at September 23, 2006 3:14 PM Ronald Reagan was the devil. Posted by: Not White at October 9, 2006 12:44 PM president bill clinton will always be my favorite president. no matter how rich or how poor you are he has a conversation for you. he is indeed a people person. and what does that mean, he a person with love in his heart.
