Michael Jackson Furniture Auction: Weirdness!


Michael Jackson was well known to have weird and eccentric tastes in many things, and the current furniture auction of many garish items from his estate shows his taste in home decorating was just as peculiar as everything else.

His furniture is full of ornate, garish designs, unusual materials and loud patterns, that look like perhaps a hotel lobby in Dubai? I'm not sure what you call this style. Anyone who saw the infamous documentary with Michael, saw the reporter tag along as he bought what seemed like dozens of random pieces of art, vases and who knows what else, just walking around and pointing at this and that. This was one of many times it seemed clear he needed people around him to provide a reality check.

Michael Jackson spent more than $700,000 on all sorts of flamboyantly bizarre furniture before he died -- but now, it could be yours ... if the price is right. TMZ has learned MJ ordered the incredibly unique items for a London mansion he was supposed to live in during the run of his "This Is It" tour ... but he died before the Italian furniture maker -- Colombostile -- could deliver the goods. The items include lavish sofas, a crystal-encrusted chair, a desk with a secret compartment and much more...
