Kids Choice Awards Asks:What is Slime?

If you are at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, don't ask "What is Slime?" while you are on stage, or you are sure to find out!

In fact don't say "what" at all if you want to avoid getting a bucket of green slime on your head, as various celebrities found out this weekend at the latest awards show.

The festivities were hosted by Kevin James, and featured Miley Cyrus Adam Sandler and Katy Perry, who got a healthy dose of the slime while at the podium.

Katy was looking hot in a tight flower-patterned dress and blue wig, which matched well with the green slime that rained down upon her.

Katy complained "I can't see anything. Why does it taste like boogers?"

The slime tradition traces back to You Can't Do That on Television, the classic 80s kids show that spawned such stars as Alanis Morissette.

The fan-favorite ceremony's host, "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" actor-comedian Kevin James, kicked off the show by performing a hip-hop dance routine as Adam Sandler serenaded him from above while dressed as an angel and fountains of green slime spontaneously gushed on the first few rows of the audience. James said more than 115 million votes were received this year.
