Sarah Palin & Oprah Nov. 16!

Sarah Palin & Oprah Winfrey are about to do the unthinkable, and be in the same place at the same time! And luckily for us, on Nov. 16 they will do it on television!

Oprah's show has announced they will be having Sarah Palin as a guest on the talk show, to talk about her new book "Going Rogue." This is a major coup for Sarah Palin, who gets the best promotional spot possible for her new book, and surely thousands of people will pre-order her book online when the show airs, since everything Oprah touches turns to bestseller gold.

And for Oprah it's sure to be a TV ratings bonanza, as the world tunes in to see how she gets along with Palin after famously supporting her opponent Barack Obama, and refusing to have Sarah on the show during the campaign. (She refused to have any other candidates on after she made her endorsement).

I may not be buying Sarah Palin's book, but I will be Tivo-ing her Oprah appearance on Nov. 16th for sure!

Sarah Palin & Oprah Nov. 16!
aol

Harpo Productions has just announced that Oprah Winfrey will welcome former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to her television show on Nov. 16. The interview, which marks the first meeting between Winfrey and Palin, will promote Palin's new memoir, "Going Rogue: An American Life"...

Really, Oprah is a bigger person than Sarah will ever be. She is taking the "high road", while Sarah is stuck on the " low road"--maybe Sarah will learn something about people.

The left is trying to "Quayle" Sarah Palin. Is a shame we can't just talk about issues. We have to make dumb comments about who is bigger, my gal or yours. Get real folks!

Posted by: Walter Johnson at October 21, 2009 5:52 AM

Sarah Palin is just another human being with a book. It would be just wrong if Oprah treated her any different than anyone else. Afterall, Obama won the election and I voted for him! I want to hear what she has to say. A lot of controversy surrounds this lady. It would be interesting to hear what she write about. I probably won't buy her book before it goes on sale, what with the recession and all. But I certainly would like to have a copy of it. Hang in there Sarah and make the best of it. I love you Oprah and I respect you more than ever! Get a clue people! Life is bigger than this!!!

Posted by: Ipriama at October 21, 2009 7:25 AM

Oprah's a bigger person than most of us will ever be. In fact, Oprah's bigger than my couch.

Hoping that Oprah gets a dose of reality, figures out that Palin is a lot more than SNL played her for. The reference to "seeing Russia from my house" downplays her knowledge of the FSU and potential impact on the US, having lived with it in her backyard. The reality of Biden's work there comes home to rest when he dumped the Czechs and Poles as allies by giving key concessions to Russia.

Let's see if Oprah figures that out...

Posted by: Walter Mitty at October 21, 2009 8:19 AM

Hey arapikos, what did Sarah Palin ever do to receive that comment from you? You are part of the unfortunate who don't know the liberal media is constantly lying to you,OR you should watch more than SNL to form an opinion of someone. Stop being a follower begin researching and thinking for yourself! I respect you Sarah Palin!!

Posted by: Brian at October 21, 2009 8:57 AM

Let's be practical for once. Those who voted for this communist Obamao now are realizing their mistake. This is not a free enterprise govt. This is a socialist/marxist govt led by a dedicated marxist/socialist. As a result, our economy , our culture, our education and our way of living is in the hands of appointed czars and commissars. Sarah Palin represents a breath of fresh air and free market the signature of the American economy. Those who voted for Obamao are now turning to her to bring America back to the days of prosperity. There is massive voter remorse out there and the tide is now turning away from the Marxist Democrats. We have now seen their true colors with Reich stating that the elderly will have to die. Period. Sarah Palin where are you? We need you now. Please run in 2012.

Posted by: Juven Bachan at October 21, 2009 9:17 AM

Yet another reason to avoid watching Oprah. Why can't Sarah Palin just fade back into the obscurity from whence she came from? IMHO, she doesn't deserve the attention that she has received.

Posted by: Liz at October 21, 2009 9:31 AM

If Sarah can choose Oprah to promot her book, to me this really sounds like further proof america has really changed. I am so glad the two sisters will lift each other Nov. 16. Keep it up America!

Posted by: Justin at October 21, 2009 9:31 AM

@Juven Bachan,
Listen to yourself, are you practical? Tell us what John M & Sarah P would have done differently? What were the achievements of Mr Bush in his 8 years at the helm- yeah you guess right NEGATIVE! He got you into this mess in the first place. Goodness me, why don't you wait for the world to hear what Sarah P has got to say before on the show declaring her the messiah? Talk of being brain-washed. Pathetic.

Posted by: blitz at October 21, 2009 9:33 AM

Well, I am surprised that Ophrah would do this.
Rogue? Thats like calling palin a "hockey mom".
Hockey moms are tough. They DON'T QUIT. Even Bush didn't quit ( and I wanted to impeach him ). Even
Schwartzeneger didn't quit and look at the mess California is in. What mess is Alaska in? None that I know about. Palin's i am holier than thou attitude is an embarassment. A breath of fresh air??? Gimme a break. Can you SMELL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKIN'??

Posted by: Brent Brady at October 21, 2009 9:46 AM

Wow, Liz, really? IMHO, you're ignorant.

Posted by: Anonymous at October 21, 2009 9:50 AM

Brent, go back to being a house wife

Posted by: Chris Simonds at October 21, 2009 9:52 AM

I think all that thinks that our country and world are in a better place are Obama wan-a-be's....if you think Bush did all this, even though he wasnt the greatest president, he didnt have us 9 Trillion dollars in debt in the first 8 months of presidency. Maybe the so called nobel piece prize winner should buck up and give the economy his million that he got for the prize since he put us here in the first place.

Posted by: Amie at October 21, 2009 10:17 AM

Why is Oprah giving Palin the time of day? I hope Oprah rakes her over the coals. Palin belongs on "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?" And she would lose! She's a lightweight in all aspects, ignorant, shallow, slanderous, and has no concept of the world. And for her it's too late to start getting savvy. And she'd still never "catch up". Her sense of self-importance is greatly exaggerated and my feeling about those who listen to her and fall at her feet in adoration are just like her. Trying to find the ideal spot for her, I keep lowering my assessment. Not capable enough to be a mayor a Wasilla let alone Governor of a State, I even wonder if her place in the universe would that of a mother, even. Oh I got it! Private secretary to the Vice-President of a local bank - as long as she can't get her hands on anyone's money!

Posted by: Barbara at October 21, 2009 10:24 AM

I thought more of Sarah Palin before she agreed to lower herself and appear on Oprah's show. I wouldn't watch Oprah before and I sure won't watch her now.

Posted by: Ray at October 21, 2009 10:32 AM

Sarah Palin is a person who is A woman of integrity and this shows that she has such class to accept the invitation to be on Oprah as Oprah has shown so much disrespect for her as a Woman, Mother, Wife, Governer and a canidate for the Vice President of the United States of America. As a woman I was so disapointed that as a woman Oprah

Posted by: Cindy at October 21, 2009 10:33 AM

Posted by: joe_taxpayer at October 21, 2009 10:37 AM

Posted by: Sandy at October 21, 2009 10:39 AM

That's right Blitz you picked the right name just rush right in with comments without thinking about them! We know what Sarah stands for already and we need it badly in this deteriorating country. It is people like you who just repeat what you hear your lying liberal friends say over and over: "Bush this Bush that",look at the financial mess Obama has already gotten us into and about to do with Government run"monopoly"health care. Your precious leader is going to betray you. He is about to turn the U.S. over to a one world leader if he gets elected again. You watch and remember you read it here first!

Posted by: Brian at October 21, 2009 10:39 AM

How is Oprah going to interview her - Palin can't say an understandable sentence.

Posted by: richard a. winkler at October 21, 2009 10:40 AM

Posted by: Ed at October 21, 2009 10:50 AM

Posted by: chachi39 at October 21, 2009 10:50 AM

You hit the nail on the head, Brian. The blind, kool-aid drinking libs will never figure it out until the country completely collapses under Obamao...I also agree that I lost a lot of respect for Sarah P for appearing on Oprah to promote her book...

Posted by: Diana at October 21, 2009 10:56 AM

I believe Governor Palin has been poorly treated by the Media, and has taken her lumps very well. I think its great that Oprah is having her on her show to discuss her book and to communicate her (Palin)beliefs and political views. I also believe that there is no better venue, than the Oprah Show. Ms. Winfrey is someone to look-up to, and is very intellegent and "classy" individual. Oprah will not try to "sucker punch" Ms. Palin for the sake of ratings, nor will she try to publicly humiliate Ms. Palin.

Posted by: Tyrone Davis at October 21, 2009 11:02 AM

Well, I certainly hope Oprah has got clearance from the White House to do this.

Posted by: Ron at October 21, 2009 11:05 AM

Oprah gave us "Native Boy", which this country may never recover from. Do you think he would have won with his redistribute the wealth talk or was it "I hang around with Paul Volker and Richard Lugar". Oprah gave him some credibility. Palin is much better than Obama. She is a self made person. Obama can just deliver speeches written by his 28 y/o writer on dual teleprompters. I saw his speech when the prompters went down and he could not put five words together to make a cohesive sentence.

All for Palin who cant even answer simple things like what book she read?? You was really going to be with her being the VP?? thats scary look at whats happening to Alaska..Thats Y she bailed be cause she didnt want to take the hit. She declined the stimulouse $$ and that state is taking a major hit. Read the facts dont be an asshole its embarrassing..

Ps
I bet your taxes arent being increased.. You dont make enough, you are apart of the 95% of Americans whose taxes were decreased, but u to dumb to realize that.

Posted by: Nicole at October 21, 2009 11:22 AM

Well, Well, Well. I didn't even vote this last election. The choices where, to say the least, quite depressing. Vote for the same old macho do nothings or vote for a sure desaster. Both of which has come to fruition. I didn't see much of a reason to even go to the poles. 1st time in over 30yrs I didn't vote. As far as Pedicure Palin vs Obamamistress Oprah's get together. All I see is ratings going up for both with the end result being more money for the bittchhes who's got enough already. I see Palin's views as to darn simple to work in such a complex and currupt govt and the views of Oprah are ..... just too nutty. All of this is just more yellow journalizm with a touch of insanity.

Posted by: deleriouslymad at October 21, 2009 11:40 AM

I hope Oprah will have a real interview with Sarah Palin and allow people to understand why she, Oprah, did not vote for Palin. I am also hoping that Oprah reads the book and, as she will probably not agree with what is in the book, tell her following not to buy the book as it will probably be full of all the crap Palin tried to put out to the public when she was running for VP.

Posted by: debbie at October 21, 2009 11:44 AM

Grow up people. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but only those that properly deliver it will be respected. Ignorant accusations get you no where and really it is embarrasing.

Posted by: Vicky at October 21, 2009 11:44 AM

I will say this. I dont see how this is going to be a legitimate and knowledgeable interview with both women so head strong and steadfast in their views and beliefs

Posted by: deleriouslymad at October 21, 2009 11:51 AM

A win-win situation for both Sarah Palin and Harpo if ever there was one. Sarah will bring on a new segment of viewers for sure. And the regular viewing audience will naturally tune in to see how Oprah will do with such an obvious star powered author. I wonder if both of them will do preparatory work for this interview chat ? With the advance fee that Harpo would certainly forward to Sarah, she could probably afford to hire Katie Couric as an interview tutor!! I will have to remember to set up my vcr to tape this one to watch it. Oprah comes on the CBS affiliate before I come home from work.

Posted by: Ann at October 21, 2009 12:06 PM

I would vote for Palin any time she runs for president. She is a class act and not a lawyer. What did we get with Obama, "Yakky Duck". Notice how he talks much and often and says little.
With Opara's blind support of Obama, I personally have written her off. Never watch her show now.

Posted by: Allan at October 21, 2009 12:06 PM

Vicky, I agree for the most part with you. One of the reasons I did not vote other than the lack of real hope for this country was the insidious slander from both sides. What we need in this country is a leader with NO political background and someone who uses common sence to solve our financial woes. Someone who will say NO to all porkbelly spending and someone to bring us back to the basics of what made this country great over 200yrs ago. Government OF the people, By the people and FOR the people. Of course we would have to impeach the entire house of reps, congress and US Supreme courts. If the nuts would have concentrated it's efforts on those areas back on 9/11, maybe this country would be better off now. Who knows.........just my opinion, but I think ALL the elected has pulled the wool over our eyes.

Posted by: deleriouslymad at October 21, 2009 12:08 PM

Who really cares? Your still Sara and that is scary

Posted by: allen at October 21, 2009 12:21 PM

Look. Everyone has a right to do whatever they want AND thier own opinion.Palin included. And a funny fact...have you noticed that alot of the people bashing people's opinions (from either side) cant spell?? That shows lack of intelligence. I dont understand why people get all up in arms about "Pedicure Palin" (via Delirioslymad's comment)and how she has expensive stuff and a "holier than thou attitude" when Michelle Obama i basically doin the SAME THING buying and flaunting all the expensive stuff so both sides do it because polititions have MONEY! DUH! And you dont kknow them personally, so how could you believe anyone who you have not me face to face acts or behaves a certain way hmm?? Food for thought man. Also, Nicole...taxing the rich taxes EVERYBODY indirectly my friend. The people with the money CREATE JOBS for the people trying to make money and make a living, support a family, etc. because they create new businesses and companies. Simple facts. So by raising rich people's taxes they are affecting employers and Major businesses. The businesses are NOT going to DIE so they will release ALOT of employees to save themselves from going under resulting in less jobs. I just graduated highschool and i know that! lol What is wrong with people these days?! And who do they really tax? If they tax your Energy company (aka the people you pay your electric bill to every month) the company is not going to just get taxed and clear a lower net income every year. They are going to increase rates and prices to compensate, meaning they will charge you more to cover the expense. TA-DA! There you have it. indirect taxtion. No one should have thier taxes raised. And as for Palin? let her do her thing. Quit being so biased. And the media is destroying America. That is the eal issue. They pick sides (in this case 1 side) and people dont have all the options or have even a small portion of the key info that spurs these stupid aruments in the 1st place. America needs to get with the program and stop iing up what men and women before us gav thier lives to protect. "WE THE PEOPLE"...remember that? Not "THEY THE GOVERNMENT". We run the gov. Without our cash they cant do ANYTHING. so who runs who?? When Americans figure ot the role they ACTUALLY play in this country we wont have thsi control issue anymore! And for those ignorant bashers out there that lave a comment after me...I am black. So dont come with that "your racist and rich and blah blah blah" so you wouldnt understand. I just have pride as an American thats all. Do with THAT what you will.

Posted by: Not What you Think I am at October 21, 2009 12:25 PM

Let's face it Harpo is in Obama 's pocket. She is blind if she can't see what he is doing to our country. Like Oprah they are only for the blacks do to the fact that the blacks were slaves and now it is pay back time. Harpo wants Sarah on her show only to put her down. I doubt if Harpo will even read her book or agree on anything that is in the book.Hold your own on this show Sarah and make us proud. Sarah would be an asset to that show. Harpo is doing it for the rating anyway.
Harpo should pay sarah for appearing on her show after all harpo will get the rating for her to appear.Who knows maybe all you koolaid drinkers will learn something important about how to run a free country like we used to be.

Posted by: Juanita at October 21, 2009 12:33 PM

Not what you think I am;
Ok, so I misspelled sense...lol I know you were not talking about me but I couldn't resist commenting on that particular comment. I've noticed the same thing. lol The school systems are spending too much time teaching unproven theorys (ie..evolution, carbon dating) and not enough time teaching the basics, which gets me back to that rabbit I tend to chase...

Shame on you Palin haters. You are showing your true adolescent colors. Just because you are remorseful that you voted for the messiah, who didn't lead us to the promised land, instead to the depths of debt and socialism, you are taking out your frustrations on Palin because she was of another party. Had she run under the "D" you would be loving her and defending her positions. Oprah, on the other hand is an astute business woman who knows how to draw a crowd. she selected Palin as a hot item. "Rake over the coals" don't be absurd, Oprah is too smart to pull a childish stunt like that. Look for an interesting and uplifting exchange of views during the interview. You other ranter's, continue living with your head buried in the sand unitl the immortal words of Winston Churchill "Too Late" ring loud and clear...

Posted by: gary at October 21, 2009 1:08 PM

Nicole,
this:', is called an apostrophe. It is used in cases where one wants to show ownership e.g. "Nicole's writing and grammar are atrocious" or to make a contraction e.g. " Nicole just made a post on this thread. That's the stupidest bitch I've read all day."

"You was really going to be with her being the VP?"
What the hell does that statement even mean?

"thats scary look at whats happening to Alaska.."
Actually, Alaska is in great shape compared to most of the country. She resigned because she was sick of being sued by the likes of Nicole, 18 times or so, with frivolous lawsuits. As for taxes, that so called 95% promise that Obama made, was only that their taxes would not go up, not decreased. A promise already broken only 8 months into his term. Nicole must also be a psychic... she knows how much James makes.
Oh, I get it... Nicole is using her superior writing skills to prove to us of her basic grasp of politics and the world in general. She is OBVIOUSLY much smarter and more evolved than the rest of us, and proves it by showing off her Ivy League education.

Well, actually she should of shown that back when the elections were heated that she could be politically correct. Yet, back then she had no interest for Sarah Palin to appear on her show. Now what seems to be her interest in Sarah Palin? Bigger person or searching for more ratings? My money is on ratings!

It seems to me that the so called Conservatives cannot comment on anything without name calling. All of this goes to show what I have known all along they are nasty, mean spirited little people who derive pleasure from bad mothing the President of the United States. Hmmmmmmmmm, Jasmine Richards, I seem to recall a lot of people did some name calling when Bush was president. One being "HITLER". Now was that nice?
If you can't find anything to say about Bush, he did keep us safe. Regarding Oprah and Palin, and who was the bigger person. Oprah showed how big she was when she refused to let anyone else share their veiws. For her it was Obama or nothing!
I thought that was pretty low. I will not watch Oprah again, regardless who she has on her show.

Jasmine Richards;
To be honest with you, coming from an independent side of the political agenda and re-noting the fact I did not elect to participate in the last election, I have read a lot of comments from both parties and have found the in most cases the so called liberal bunch has a more tendency to be more distasteful in their comments. Not to say there hasn't been hateful remarks from the right wing, but my observations have been that the democrats have been more ruthless in their comments. I believe it is mostly because they seem to be on the defensive on a more consistent basis.

Oprah is selling out for ratings and money. Shame on you Oprah. Another reason not to watch her. I hope Sarah's book fails harder than her a#& whooping she got in her vice presidential run. For those of you making comments that "liberals" make their decisions on Sarah Palin based on SNL, I can tell you that I have never once watched SNL in my life, and I stil think Sarah Palin is an idiot. And I hope she runs in 2012 and I hope the GOP chooses her as the Presidential candidate. It would all but guarantee another win from Obama! Oh and whoever referred to her as Governor Palin, in case you haven't heard, she quit! Hmm...I wonder what she would do in the white house when times get tough?

This is absolutely ridiculous. It is not an opinion but moreso a reality that Palin's actions have always been unbecoming of an adult let alone a Govenor and/or a future President. From her irrational and egoistic decisions to slander to her Walmart Quality Suits she chose to wear during her campaign. Palin is not a good representation of America or a woman of standards and class. The validity of this thread is null and void considering it's pertaining to Palin..Palin who, Palin what...EXACTLY!

How can all you Palin lovers still say things like "she is a class act," and that you'd vote for her for President? How quick you are to label the Dems as close-minded and brain-washed while simultaneously supporting Palin for the highest office even though she "violated the public trust..." Do you know what that means?? It means that SHE CAN NOT BE TRUSTED to act in the interest of the public she is supposed to be serving (even those who voted for her). Start fighting for what's right (morally, not politically)!!!

Being a strong woman does not make you a class act. And when you're sued "18 times or so" and then abruptly resign, it's probably not because all the lawsuits are frivolous...

Seriously, is anyone actually going to watch this. Personally I think Oprah is overly self-important and Sarah Palin well actually Tina Fey is funier. Enough from both of them and the name calling on both sides. Why doesn't everyone just roll up their sleeves and do something instead of bitching about what was, and the fact that things are just not moving fast enough for them.
