Color of Alcohol: Hangover Predictor?

We've all probably had a variety of hangovers before (well not me, but probably you). How can you predict in advance whether you will get a hangover or not, and what type of hangover it will be?

Among the factors commonly known to determine your hangover chances are how much and how quickly you drink, whether you eat before and while drinking, and most of all whether you drink enough water alongside the alcohol. But new studies say the color of the alcohol you drink can also provide clues to how you'll feel the morning (or afternoon) after. As you can see in the link below, the studies show hat darker alchols like bourbon and red wine are more likely to have you feeling bad afterwards, and lighter drnks like vodka give you a better chance of coming out in one piece. Don't forget to drink water though!

According to a new study, which will soon be posted in the journal "Alcohol: Clinical and Experimental Research," if you are hoping to avoid a nasty hangover this holiday season, then it is best to stay away from darker liquors such as bourbon, red wine, brandy, and spiced rum The study reported that those who consumed lighter colored alcohols such white wine, vodka, and gin were much less likely to feel sick or hung over the next day.
