In her statement, the wife said in part "We are very grateful for all the wonderful support everyone has been extending to Gary's family. Thousands of emails have poured in to the hospital. This has been so comforting to the family to know how beloved he still is..."

Coleman died at age 42 after an accident in his home that led to him being hospitalized from a brain hemorrhage, which eventually felled him. But details have not been forthcoming beyond that. So the parents are asking questions about his hostpial care and the circumstances around his health problems.

The wife of Gary Coleman is speaking out after the actor's death Friday in a Utah hospital. In a statement read by her brother, Shannon Price thanked fans for support during the Coleman's time in the hospital. A hospital spokeswoman confirmed that Coleman died at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo. She said he was surrounded by family and friends when he died. Coleman reportedly suffered a brain hemorrhage due to a fall. Price also asked for privacy in her statement and said details about funeral arrangements will be released shortly.
