Snowicane News: Huge Storm! (PHOTOS)


Just days after another huge snowfall rocked the Northeast, news comes of another major storm hit the New York area yesterday, so big people are calling it a "snowicane."

The snow started out as heavy rain mixed with sleet, then as the day went on became hard and heavy snow that just kept falling and falling, making a slushy nightmare for drivers and pedestrians all around the city.

The snow didn't cause as many safety risks or traffic problems, and flight delays at airports were not as bad as the previous storm which also caused NY schools to be closed.

But as it continues to fall even now, many New York workers are scared to see what the streets will look like in the morning. For photos and more detail see below:

Snowflakes as big as goose feathers blanketed the city Thursday morning - but meteorologists predicted the worst was yet to come. Snow was mixed with rain in New York City and mostly didn't stick to roads, preventing the kind of calamity experienced during the school-shutting storm of early February. Come Thursday evening, however, the storm is expected to firm up, and some 10 inches are expected to accumulate by Friday morning....
